Reframe can partner with you, your therapists, employers and disability employment services to help you explore yourself and potential pathways.

We can assist you to develop a plan with individualised supports and practical strategies to help you work towards your work goals.

Sessions are offered either face-to face or via teleconference.

Employment-Related Counselling and Assessment

This is a structure process designed Reframe Careers to help NDIS Clients identify their strengths, skills, interests, challenges, and goals. This support aims to create a clear, practical pathway toward employment, education, or volunteering.

The Assessment process typically includes:

Self-Exploration: Gaining an understanding of strengths, skills, interests, work preferences and work capacity.
Identifying Barriers: Identifying challenges or obstacles that may impact employment opportunities.
Liaison with Treating Therapists and Stakeholders: Collaborating with support teams to ensure a comprehensive approach.
Readiness Assessment: Assessing readiness for paid employment and engaging in discussions about potential capacity-building activities.
Possible Pathways Brainstorm: Generating ideas relating to courses, specific jobs or self-employment pathways.
Goal Setting: Working collaboratively to establish short-term and long-term vocational goals.
Support Planning: Recommendations including strategies and additional supports to help achieve work, study, or volunteering goals.

The initial process is typically 12 hours + travel.

Prepare for paid work, study or volunteering
Enrol in a course and link with relevant support services
Participate in volunteering or work experience
Develop a resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile
Consider the pros and cons of disclosing an injury. disability or health condition when job seeking
Gain the skills and confidence to job seek and attend interview independently
Partner with employers, disability employment services and/or Job Access to ensure workplace equipment and modifications are in place for both the recruitment process and on commencement of employment
Register with a disability service employment provider to widen your support services
Support to maintain employment once gained or onward referral to post placement support

Reframe Careers can help you consider how work may look for you following onset of injury, disability or illness. This will be different for everyone.

We partner with you, your therapists, employers and disability employment services to help you explore your work, study or volunteering possibilities.

This could include:

Explore and understand your interests, strengths, skills and values
Consider your disability, illness or injury when considering your possibilities
Visiting workplaces and connect with others to find out more about careers of interest
Making sense of career information including study pathways, workplace adjustments, scholarships and apprenticeships.
Widening or narrow down your options
Enrolling in a course and link with relevant support services
Participating in volunteering or work experience
Considering the pros and cons of disclosing an injury. disability or health condition when job seeking
Updating your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile
